Community Relations Coordinator


The Community Relations Coordinator will work with the Managing Director in projects related to community partnerships (Companies, Schools, and Faith Groups), events and fundraising. The Community Relations Coordinator will help build new partnership and maintain existing ones. This will be achieved by actively engaging potential partners through various means of communication particularly social media.  

Responsibilities include:        

 Utilize and be active on social media to assist the Assistant Social Media Coordinator and the Social Media Coordinator to promote brands; Assist Managing Director as company partnerships liaison; Draft blogs, campaign pages, and other web material; Research companies and organizations for possible partnerships; Assist with the planning and marketing of organizational events; Assist with special projects as needed; Public speaking at events 

Qualifications:

Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel; The ability to work both independently and in a team setting; Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines;  Excellent communication and teamwork skills; Great people skills, initiative, enthusiasm, and sense of humor are a must!

Special Events Coordinator


We are looking for personable people with excellent communication skills to handle tailored events specific to the needs of each client.  SEC must have excellent listening and communication skills and can pay close attention to detail. 


The SEC is responsible for soliciting bids from vendors, including photographer, freelance artists, DJ's, and bands for the event.  Before the event, the SEC will work with the venue's on-site staff to ensure all details about the event are accurate.  In some cases, the SEC may be required to coordinate additional services such as food, gift, transportation and accommodations for the guest speaker and attendees. 


The SEC also monitors the course of the event and is on-site.  They monitor all activities, ensure staff is on task and make sure attendees of the event are satisfied with their experience. 


The SEC also conducts post event duties, reviews and follow up with client satisfaction and performance surveys.


Customer service experience a must.  Background and experience with management, budgeting and problem-solving skills is preferred.
