my journey

Gretchen Bellard resides in Chesapeake, VA with her husband Benjamin, who proudly serves as a Nuclear ET in the United States Navy. Together, they have a two-year-old son, Warner, who loves going on their outdoor family adventures. When Gretchen isn’t balancing her roles as a military wife, model and mother, you can find her tending to her patients at Konikoff Oral Surgery. At less than 4 weeks old, Gretchen’s son was diagnosed with a lifelong genetic disease known as Cystic Fibrosis. Since then, she has devoted her heart to her platform, Medical Mentoring: Preparing Parents for the future. As an advocate and mentor, she has dedicated her time to the CF Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. Gretchen lives by her favorite quote, “The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.”--she is Mrs. Virginia United States 2017.
