Who is Dr. Shena Dixon Mason, Esq.?

In 2000, Shena co-founded a non-profit organization that assisted emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally disturbed adolescent females.  She also served as its' Corporate Counsel and Program Director.  In 2003, Shena was asked to help a client  further develop and grow their family business and she became a bail bonds woman.  After one year, Shena opened her own bail bonding company, Dixon's Bonding, and became one of the leaders in the State of Virginia.  In 2006, she entered the world of real estate, mortgages and financial services.  By 2008,  Shena had co-developed and managed a 300+ multi-team office within the company's east coast division.

In 2008, Shena combined her legal and financial expertise and received the national designation of Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.  With this experience, Shena provided financial analyst assistance to couples who were divorcing and wanted a fair and equitable resolution of the division of the marital property.  In 2009, Shena became the third African-American woman to ever carry the honor of serving as Chief Magistrate for the 16th Judicial District, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, commanding nine jurisdictions and supervising eleven judicial officers. 

A professor since 1996 of numerous colleges and universities, Shena has always held a passion for teaching.  In April 2011, Shena extended her passion for legal literacy by launching eLegal Radio,  Known as the "Dutchess of Justice", Shena facilitated a weekly broadcast and educated people on everything law.  If it was law, Shena explained it in engaging detail that was relevant to community issues that mattered the most.

Over the past 20 years, Shena has successfully created, mentored and assisted in excess of 2000+ businesses and has assisted in the merger and acquisition of countless others.  She has advised top government officials, rappers, music entertainers, and notable NBA, and NFL athletes on private business matters.  She also teach under privileged, special needs children and young adults how to turn their passions and hobbies into self-supporting businesses. 

As a legal health and lifestyle advocate, Shena has taken her experience of prosecuting members of the medical profession and reveals the truth to the public about how to learn about the inner workings of the FDA, the medical industry, the food chain, the pharmaceutical market, and insurance companies.  Shena is also an International Protocol Partner for a globally recognized team of naturopathic doctors, covering over 900 protocols.  Shena has taken her years of experience in business and beauty and provides free support services to people who desire to develop healthier habits in their lives.  One of Shena's many passions is to spread the word of the evolution of modern society and how to minimize debilitating effects on healthy living.

As a fitness and healthy living advocate, Shena was crowned Mrs. Virginia United States, 2016-17, Placed Top 15 at the National Mrs. United States Pageant, Las Vegas, Nevada.  1st runner-up in 2012,  2nd runner-up in the 2011 and 2013 of the Mrs. Virginia America Pageant , Ms. National Virginia 2014, Mrs. Dallas Texas 2015 of the Mrs. Texas America Pageant and has coached several pageant hopefuls to pageant fitness victories. 

In December 2016, as her Mrs. Virginia Legacy Project, Shena relaunched eLegal Radio, where you can find her hosting "Monday Millionaire" podcast Mondays at 10:00 a.m. and on "Let's Play Doctor" podcast on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.   Shena and DMG Charities, Inc., also serves as the Transition Coordination Team for the 2017 Mrs. Virginia and Mrs. West Virginia United States Pageants, and she continues to work with kids through the Kid's Boss Club powered by Mrs. Virginia and Mrs. West Virginia United States and small local businesses.  

As an educational advocate and homeschool mom, Shena advises and assists parents who want to excel their children's education through supplemental IEP support services and advanced curriculum educational track plans for weekend, school holiday and summer break schedules.  Shena is also a Co-Troop Leader for a Girl Scout Council Troop in the Nation's Capital Region.

Shena is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  She is a member of a number of professional organizations including the Virginia Bar Association.  Shena earned her Bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her Juris Doctorate from T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond.  In addition to being a member of the Virginia State Bar, Shena has also held licenses in Real Estate, Insurance and Annuities, Property and Casualty, and Series 65, having represented several active money managers.  Shena is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Shena began her career in the Richmond Commonwealth Attorney's Office in 1998.   In 2001, Shena received the coveted honor of being recognized as one of "Richmond Virginia's Top Forty Under Forty." After an extremely successful career as a litigator, advancing to the position of Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney, and practicing before the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in cooperation with Virginia's Project Exile as a Federal Prosecutor, Shena entered the private practice of law in 2002.  Shena also served as an Executive Advisor to several corporate and government entities.
